Description of college life
Attending college was a great experience because it shaped me to who I am today. College life helps you discover yourself as you learn new things every day, these are some of the things you cannot accomplish without going to college. I still remember my first day in college; I had mixed feeling because I did not know what to expect. What made life unbearable at first, was the fact that I did not know anyone by then. I did not know how to behave, but eventually, things started falling into place. With a week, I started making friends; they are still my best friends until now.
When we meet we keep on remembering how we first met. College is the best place you will meet people because you have a lot in common. Students are all over the dining halls, dorms and in classes. It takes time to get to know people, but once you make friends, you will feel comfortable and love the college experience. I remember the first day I did not know where to start from. I felt homesick most of the time and could call home every week. With time, I found myself busy with college activities. In terms of making new friends, it’s easier in college because every fresh college man is new to the school, so it doesn’t look awkward to introduce yourself to other students. Dorm life was one of the most different but interesting experiences in my life.
Living together in dorms means sharing a lot and planning for common activities like sleepovers and parties which make you interact more with your friends. People live close to each other and are always looking forward to participating in joint activities. At times it required profound skills to juggle between academics and social life. My experience in college gave me the chance to sharpen my skills in the field of my choice.
When I look back my college days, these are the best days in my life, because I belonged to a crazy group, we spent our time doing exciting activities . Most weekends, we could cook dinner together as a group because eating in the city was expensive. We made allot of food that could take us throughout the week. We loved music, as a group, we frequently attended concerts, college plays, and poetry sessions. At times, we could go hiking, play video games or participate in random sports around college. I have never regretted any moment I spent with my friends while in college, these are the moments I want to cherish for the rest of my life.
Being in college taught me a lot in life, I learned how to be accommodating and also learned to share resources. From this experience, I have also learned many interesting principles about different cultures. Study away from my native town meant meeting people from different cultural background. My time in college greatly enriched my life in many ways, it provided me with all the important survival tools.
I believe I can fit in any of part this diverse world and I can cope with all types of personalities. By completing my college degree, is the most rewarding experience for me, I loved my college because it was a school that had many opportunities and many challenges that eventually shaped me to who I am today. The college experiences are irreplaceable, and I cannot trade it for anything. If I could go back again, I would not do anything different from what I did while in college.
