1. Develop a right mindset

The first step to making before engaging in an essay work is setting the right mindset and mood. Feel positive. Do not feel like giving up, stay focused and take a deep breath. Furthermore, avoid distractions such as accessing the phone as this will lead to procrastination of an assignment.

2. Planning

Before you commence writing an essay, please take your time and draft an outline of the essay. This should be no more than 10 minutes. The time is valuable since it will help you to be organized and won’t spend more time restructuring the essay.

3. Understanding the essay question

The essay to be written is normally guided by the prompt or a question, and quotes among others. Reading and understanding the question is essential.

4. Study the essay question

The essay will likely be directed by a question or a prompt, like a quote, with a question. It’s important that you read the question carefully and understand what it is asking of you. Rushing over a question presented for an essay results in skimming which leads to a miss of instructions, and getting out of the topic. Such rush normally happens due to intense pressure. 5. Brainstorm the thesis statement

For example, you may brainstorm on a given phenomenon or a problem, such as malnutrition as the cause of infant mortality in a given region.

6. Develop an outline

Make sure you make an outline of the main paragraphs of the essay.

Introduction:

This should contain a statement that welcomes the reader to your essay. The stamen should be engaging as well as should make the reader be curious about what is entailed in the essay. The body:

After completing writing your essay, ensure that you add a concluding paragraph that summarizes the main ideas or arguments besides restating the thesis statement. Synthesis of these ideas in a convincing way to show the reader that you are in support of your thesis statement. 7. Write your essay within 15 minutes

Using a well-elaborated outline of your essay, concentrate on the composition of the different parts of the essay at a time. Spend at least two minutes in each and every body paragraph.
