Study shows that global premature death can be avoided if we consume ten portions of vegetables daily. The ten portions is equivalent to 800 grams. Eating plenty of vegetables reduces the risk of death caused by heart diseases, cancer and many more diseases. Vegetables that are linked to reduce the risk of heart attack include spinach, broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Peppers and green beans are related to potentially lower cancer risk.

Vegetables are used to minimize the level of cholesterol, blood pressure and to make the immune system of an individual strong as well as to enrich the good functioning of the vessels that carry blood around the body. This is because of the multiparty system of nutrients they have. For example, they contain many antioxidants, this can lessen chances of genetic material damage, hence reduce the cancer risk.
