An idea whose time has come can never be halted. This statement walks hand in hand with the fact that, a revolution is never made but comes in its opportune moment. It usually comes when the masses feel oppressed and realize that enough is enough. A revolution, quite simply, is a sudden change of guard in a political or organizational structure and composition.   According to Aristotle, there are two types of revolution; one entails a complete change of the constitution while the other embraces modification of the current law. It is indeed true that revolutions are not made, they come. When the people put their feet down and say that enough is enough, nothing else can deter them from their cause. There are few significant differences when it comes to revolutions. That is their methods of occurrence, the time they take and the motivating factor. They usually have massive impacts and repercussions. But at the end of the day, these repercussions are almost the same. This includes enormous changes in the economy, culture, politics, and in socio-political institutions. Revolutions do come as a result of the finer details that so often affect the people, which over time have increasingly made them feel oppressed.  So often, the saying goes that the hurt ends up hurting others. This can be taken to be the driving force behind a revolution. The masses feel like they have been through hell and they cannot take it anymore. Such a perception in most cases acts as the catalyst for a revolution. In most scenarios, revolutions are people’s issue motivated. In most of the instances, revolutions usually come with various impacts, which are often negative.  For example, they can be bloody, inevitably fatal and therefore, harmful to the environment. While one might want to only imagine about such impacts, the reality of the matter is that during revolutions, they are experienced first hand. Economic sabotage ensues after that. This does not mean that bloodless revolutions have not been experienced. The bloodless revolutions are preferred by the majority in that it advocates for peace. Revolutions are no longer a new phenomenon to the society. Such is because they occur almost in every part of the world. With the latest one being witnessed in the Arab nations and termed as Arab uprisings. It has happened across some Arabian countries namely Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, just to name but a few. In some of these countries, positive changes have been witnessed while others are still faced with political instability. In a nutshell, a revolution leads to change. Change is as good as rest. Therefore, the struggle for positive change should be encouraged. On the other hand, this does not translate to a revolution being a bed of roses. In most instances, it comes with a lot of suffering and calls for perseverance. It’s always a good thing to be mindful of others during a revolution and be an ambassador for peace. Revolutions come as a result of the various happenings within a country, over time, rather than being made. They come as a spontaneous reaction by the people to continuous injustices.
